Job Description Job Classification: Contract Our Client is looking for a senior CEQA/NEPA professional to oversee the preparation of environmental impact analyses and environmental planning projects. Requirements: - A bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, planning, or a related field (master's degree preferred) - Ten to fifteen years of major project management experience conducting impact analysis pursuant to CEQA and NEPA, including management of EIRs and EISs. - Experience managing CEQA/NEPA environmental analysis for goods movement related projects (port-related projects preferred) that address impacts to multiple environmental resource areas. - Experience working with responsible agencies, including the SCAQMD, DTSC, and CalTrans. - Experience working with federal lead agencies pursuant to NEPA - Experience overseeing complex technical analyses, particularly in the areas of air quality, transportation, noise, and environmental justice. - Excellent communication and writing skills. Responsibilities: - Work with a team of CEQA/NEPA professionals responsible for preparing environmental impact analyses for development projects. - Manage consultants preparing CEQA/NEPA documents addressing multiple environmental impacts in support of major infrastructure projects. - Manage quality control review of project documents through outside peer review. - Conduct quality control peer-review of colleagues work. - Responsible for completing defensible, multi-disciplinary CEQA/NEPA analysis of proposed projects. - Manage CEQA/NEPA projects under time and budget constraints. - Develop and maintain positive, working relationships with staff and responsible agencies.
