My client, a Tier 1 Investment Bank has a requirement for a Change Manager to to join their Market Risk Change Management Group.
Job Description
Manages mid-size projects relating to corporate change initiatives that impact a single major business or function.
Projects have:
- Major influence on the quality and timeliness of products or services, or impact the financial performance of the business unit; and
- Require cross-divisional coordination, communication, influence and negotiation.
Senior Change Manager is responsible for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation. Actively involved in the conduct/execution of project activities.
Responsibilities
Senior Change Manager is responsible for facilitating and driving implementation, forecasting and controlling the budget.
- Will be actively involved in the conduct/execution of project activities.
- Staffing, performance management and compensation decision-making responsibilities for team.
- Has responsibility for project staff, forecasts and budget control.
- Serves as primary contact to senior department managers for critical change initiatives.
- Project management certification or equivalent experience preferred.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of financial products with specific emphasis on Commodities to include Oil, Gas, Power, and Precious Metals
- Knowledge of Global Markets Processes from trade capture through Middle Office, and Risk Measurement
- Knowledge of Market Risk Systems and Methodologies to include use of VaR and Risk Sensitivities to measure and manage Risk Appetite.
- Strong analytical and process design skills.
- Experience managing and/or working on enterprise level projects using a defined project methodology, creating project deliverables and using standard project management tools such as Clarity
- Experience with technology projects involving change to data warehousing, data quality, reporting and/or analytics engines.
- Ability to translate business needs into technology business requirements
- Experience testing technology changes to include creating test plans, use cases, test scripts, executing testing, documenting issues, and defect resolution
- Strong business partnering skills and executive presence; Strong leadership and relationship building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to juggle multiple conflicting priorities
