Our client are currently searching for a Senior Civil Auditor to join their clients office in Leeds, Yorkshire.

This is a temporary post with an expected duration of 9 months. The hourly rate for this role is £30.00 per hour.

Primary purpose of role;

Contribute to the growing UK market by providing technical expertise in specialist areas of engineering. To be involved in the implementation and delivery of leading edge programmes and projects.

To provide technical expertise in all areas of Water Engineering but specifically Civil engineering.

Job Description

The role of the Technical Auditor will include monitoring adherence to the financial and contractual requirements of the contract, as directed by the employer. Duties may include, but will not be limited to, support of the Employer in the following ways: providing the Employer with confidence that Contractors have appropriate processes in place to demonstrate adequate technical self-certification (quality, frequency, accuracy)/ providing assurance to the Employer and to contractors through a directed and agreed annual technical audit and improvement programme. In addition to identifying areas for improvement, the auditor will support the Employer and Contractors in identifying good practise and new ideas/innovation from both within the contractors community and from outside. For the avoidance of doubt, technical audits shall include (but not be limited to) health and safety, environmental, technical and modelling audits.

Qualifications 

 Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or other relevant subject
 A member of a relevant engineering institution i.e. ICE.
 Experience in water industry and preferably previous experience in the civil elements in the design of water / wastewater treatment plants and water / wastewater networks.
 Experience of all stages of the project life cycle including feasibility conceptual design, option appraisal and whole life costing, value engineering, detailed design, generation of contract specifications, tender appraisal and contractor management.
 Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office
 Able to work well in a team and independently
 Strong communication skills (both written and oral) with an ability to communicate at all levels with the client, suppliers, contractors and our design team. Good report writing skills are an essential requirement.
 Excellent client service focus.
 Proven organisational skills and able to multi-task.
