Senior Clerk- Job Description
Exceptional skills and knowledge in payroll, preferably payroll in relation to multiple CBA’s. Working knowledge of MS Office Excel and Word, ADP and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish. Communicate effectively with all levels of administrative staff. Must have the ability to effectively manage multi-task operations, projects, prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Customer focused. Attention to detail and initiative are also essential.
Responsible for performing one or more of the following activities: processing new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, deductions, direct deposits, computing and processing time sheet data, rate changes, retroactive adjustments and special pays; maintains vacation, sick leave and worker's compensation records; account reconciliation; paycheck distribution; and researches and produces special reports. Assist other personnel as needed in a team environment.
Also experience in AP with the following: Incumbent will batch documents for process control and code data on computer input forms. May correct computerized system edits and reports. Be familiar with purchase order system and matching of invoices. :
Perform variety of routine and some non-routine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts receivable or accounts payable.
Require basic knowledge of office procedures. Incumbent should have good math skills.
Support an environment of continuous improvement by making suggestions and implementing where possible.
Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.
