The Senior Client Engagement Manger is responsible for managing all aspects of the technology portfolio for a leading agency client in the entertainment and electronics industry. This includes managing the design, development, testing and deployment of customer facing business applications. Building strong customer relationships, ensuring the delivery of projects to the client’s satisfaction and identifying opportunities to grow the technology portfolio is a significant component of the role.
Project work will typically focus on developing and enhancing analytic and performance reporting solutions ranging from medium to large in size and complexity; however work may also include proprietary custom development.
The CEM’s daily responsibilities include: defining project scope, business analysis, documenting business requirements, managing project time and cost estimates, change management, regular status reporting, application testing and implementation. The CEM will represent Mediabrands technology; building awareness of our solutions among business leaders and gathering business insights to help shape future development.
A close working relationship will be expected with agency account leads, an internal technology team, various vendors and other personnel across Mediabrands agency business units.
Core Responsibilities
- Successful end to end delivery of technology projects for Mediabrands clients – typically for analytic and performance reporting solutions that monitor and optimize media campaigns
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects for a given client and/or across multiple clients; effectively prioritize
- Gather and document customer requirements and work with the Mediabrands technology team to develop execution strategies and cost/time estimates
- Create and update all documentation to support the project from start to finish: statement of work, project estimate, project approval form, business requirements, testing materials, end user documentation, project close and acceptance documents
- Define project scope, stakeholders and success criteria. Obtain approval for the project, assemble and manage key players of the team
- Regularly communicate to all members of the project team; be the primary point of contact with sponsors, internal and external clients, colleagues and vendors
- Manage trade-offs between project scope, quality, time and cost. Document and track all changes in project parameters
- Regularly provide status updates to the Client Engagement Director for the appropriate programs.
- Escalate project issues to the next level of management
- Ensure adequate resources and materials are available for post implementation support
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage the client’s technology portfolio and overall budget, including: project budget allocations, support cost allocations and project resources.
- Lead efforts to evolve the solutions that the client leverages, and pro-actively present new opportunities
- Recruit and manage Project Managers and/or Business Analysts as needed, to deliver projects within the stated portfolio.
- Be the primary contact and field all technology related needs and requests that originate with the assigned account/office location
- Support for the sales team in new business development including pitch meetings and the development of appropriate collateral.
- Become an expert end user of the solutions in the client’s portfolio
- Engagement with the Product Strategy team to evolve solutions or suggest enterprise level feature enhancements; technology RD.
- Interface and manage strategic relationships with the business by representing promoting the capabilities of Mediabrands technology capabilities and understand the needs of the business needs as is it pertains to technology
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in technology consulting or sponsor facing roles in a non-consulting technology business, developing and maintaining relationships while delivering successful software programs.
- Experience with solutions based on SharePoint, SQL Server, Microsoft’s Business Intelligence stack and Tableau
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, detail oriented is essential
- Strong analytic skills

- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects to successful outcomes
- Demonstrated experience developing estimates, plans and articulating deliverables
- Experience developing technical requirements documents based on business needs
- Experience with software implementations- guiding user acceptance testing, defining implementation and application maintenance requirements

- A thorough understanding of the Microsoft Office desktop productivity suite with proficiency in MS Project.
- Ability to travel (on occasion).
- Knowledge of media and agency operations as well as the full spectrum of media planning and buying functions and supporting software is preferred
