Senior Commercial Accountant

Supporting the Commercial Controller this role requires the successful applicant to take a business partner approach to ensure that clients are acquired or retained on the most appropriate commercial terms. Specific responsibilities will include:
1) provision of costing and the interpretation of the costings
2) provision of scenario analysis and recommendations to support the decision making process in respect of client contract renewals and bids for new client business
3) provision of commercial and financial assessment and advise on client related issues
4) ongoing commercial and financial support throughout the negotiation process for renewals and new clients

You will also be expected to provide ad hoc reports using the data warehouse system, presenting the data to the business as required. Working closely with the operations finance team you will ensure that any obligations arising from agreements made by the business development and client services team are appropriately reflected in the monthly accounting process.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation who are currently experiencing a period of change. Initially the role is being recruited for a period of six months. You will be a qualified accountant, ACCA or CIMA, have good commercial awareness and analytical skills, have a confident and professional approach and ideally a good understanding of commercial contracts.
