Senior Commercial Analyst – Electricity recruitment
One of the UK’s leading Power companies is keen to hire a Commercial Analyst to join its UK-Europe Trading Portfolio Management team. This team provides full market analysis and valuation support for the Trading Teams, Asset Managers, Strategy and Business Development. The primary purpose of the Commercial Analyst is to maintain asset optimisation models and valuation and pricing of trading and commercial contracts.
They will be expected to advise on trading strategy and provide short and medium term commercial forecasts for the UK portfolio. Strong communication and liaisons with traders and originators will be crucial to provide pricing and valuation. This work will result in structured deals secured that add demonstrable value.
The ideal candidate will hold strong analytical, numerical, computer and modeling skills and a sound understanding of station performance. Knowledge of UK power, gas and carbon markets would be beneficial, as well as an understanding of financial derivatives.
