JOB DESCRIPTION
A leading Commodity Trading House in London is keen to hire an experienced commodities quant to join their award winning London desk. Ideal candidates will have around 4-7 years direct experience within the commodities sphere, both physical derivative products. This is an exceptional opportunity to maneuver oneself onto the buy-side join arguably the strongest commodity desk on the street.
Location: London, UK
The role:
Detailed review of front office pricing models
Globally collegial team providing an unparalleled platform to work on a wealth of products
Developing and implementing derivatives pricing models
Chance to work on a variety of complex models
Assist in the rolling out of a wealth of new exotic models + products
Working entirely in their Front Office alongside quant’s trade specialists
Support traders, research strategies and quantitative ideologies to a large degree
Liaising closely with both trading structuring teams to a large degree
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years direct commodities experience
Excellent programming skills, C/C++, C#, Java, Matlab, VBA
Ideally, exposure with both physical derivative commodity products
Open to commodity backgrounds (power, energy, agricultural etc.)
An excellent quantitative PhD/MSc from a top school in a very quant focused thesis: Applied Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, Statistics Probability, Electrical Engineering, Financial Engineering etc.
Strong communicative skills
Confidence with a strong numerative background
