Senior Compliance Consultant
Our client is a market leading, global consulting firm specialising in risk, finance and human capital.
A new vacancy has arisen for a Senior Compliance Consultant with specific knowledge of the Pensions Regulations to work within their retirement business. This person will be responsible for supporting colleagues and the business to manage regulatory and other business risks and will work with the wider European business and geographies as required. This role requires regular travel (staying away from home).
Candidates must have experience and also a relevant qualification(s) that demonstrates a solid understanding of;
trust and contract based pension structures and features
the current pensions environment and challenges
the requirements of the relevant regimes applicable to retirement planning including the investment and regulatory regimes.
In addition, broader financial services experience and qualification, experience of working in benefit consulting and / or a compliance / risk management environment are advantageous.
In addition, candidates should have significant relevant experience and related professional qualification
A strong understanding of tPR and FSA regulation and a general understanding of the authority and role of other specialist external stakeholders such as the NAPF, PPF, Pensions Ombudsman, EIOPA etc.
Experience of working in a compliance / risk department or a consulting background
Knowledge of investment management and investment products, including mutual funds, investment advisers and pension funds.
Strong business presentation, writing and communication skills.
Willing to travel regularly including abroad as required. Trips may often be of several days duration.
