As a Senior Compliance Engineer you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. The Role: As a Senior Compliance Engineer you will work closely with the design teams by specifying regulatory requirements, completing pre-testing of the Hardware platforms and accessories developed by the design team and supporting the team through product execution, ultimately assisting the team to obtain the required regulatory compliance on the devices. The Senior Compliance Engineer will also work with our manufacturing partners to test and ensure all in-production devices continue to be in compliance with all certifications. Work with design teams to perform and debug EMI and ESD failures. Work with design teams to review for EMI/ESD considerations. Update the hardware design teams of the new test status of all test results of each design phase. Attend FCC, UL and other regulatory seminars to advise the design teams of key industry changes. Create processes to ensure the Compliance Team communicates policies and processes ? as it relates to regulatory compliance (FCC, CE, global) Work with Legal to ensure confidential submission processes are followed for FCC approval and CE approval. Test production-level units to ensure in-production units continue to meet global certifications (FCC, CE, Product Safety). Work with Accessory to make sure all product safety, performance, and regulatory requirements are met. Work with Suppliers to draft the product-specific regulatory test requirements, monitor and update test status, and drive tests to completion. Test and qualify all 2 nd source parts within devices or accessories and provide timely deliverable to the team for an overall team sign-off. Attend UL?s seminar to stay on top of new product safety rules and regulations affecting accessories or core devices.
