Senior Compliance Manager
Job Purpose
Assist Team Head to establish and carry out all compliance functions to ensure the Bank adheres to the legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the current compliance controls of the Bank and identify proper actions for improvement if necessary.
- Review and execute the requirements for code of conduct and personal account under general compliance Manual of the Bank.
- Provide advisory services to business units on compliance issues.
- Perform regular tracking of all outstanding regulatory issues or findings not yet solved or responded by the Bank.
- Raise and maintain compliance awareness among staff by providing them with relevant information, publications and training on compliance matters.
- Enforce general compliance manual and provide necessary assistance and training to staff.
- Handle ad hoc assignments or projects.
Requirements
- Degree holder in Law, Accounting or business-related disciplines.
- 8-10 years general audit/compliance experience including at least 4 years at managerial level in banking industry and/or regulatory bodies.
- Solid experience in handling general compliance function.
- Good knowledge in banking laws, operations, products and services.
- Self-motivated, independent, pleasant personality with good communication skills and able to communicate effectively at all levels and work under pressure.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
- Candidate with more experience will be considered as Assistant Vice President.
