Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Compliance Manager.
In this role, you will
- Provide advice and guidance to regional Commercial Banking /other Global Functions on regional and global initiatives, inclusive of engaging and seeking required approval from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA)
- Engage in the consultation of Group compliance policies and oversee their subsequent implementation in the region/Hong Kong and providing necessary advice and guidance
- Provide compliance support in regional strategic projects, inclusive of engaging and seeking required approval from the HKMA in liaison with relevant stakeholders;
- Be a support as a reputational risk owner, setting up the governance procedure and system of the Asia Pacific Reputational Risk Policy Committee and act as the Committee Secretary
- Support the in ensuring all reporting and adhoc information request from Group/Regional Management are completed within timelines
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements
- Solid years of experience either through a major Compliance Department, legal or accounting firm
- Ideally "hands-on" risk management/operational/controls orientated experience
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to pick up the role quickly
