Senior Compliance Manager
Our client is a leading banking institution with a significant presence both in Asia Pacific and globally. With an established brand and reputation in their core markets, they continue to develop their Transaction Banking service line as a best in class service to existing and potential clients.
As such, an opportunity has arisen to join the Compliance function for the above business line in a highly visible and autonomous role here in Hong Kong.
The successful candidate will join at an exciting time both for this team and the organisation as a whole in Asia. Key duties will include but not be limited to:
- Providing advice and guidance to the local and regional Transaction Banking business.
- Develop and implement rigorous controls to ensure the business continues to grow in a sustainable and ethical manner.
- Carry out monitoring and surveillance reporting and in turn report back to senior management both in-function and directly within the business.
- Deliver training to the business on the latest framework and regulatory developments.
- Build key relationships with multiple internal stakeholders in order to create a robust and practical Compliance culture.
In order to be suitable for the role, the ideal candidate will ideally have experience in/of:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a comparable role within an Institutional and/or Wholesale banking environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory landscape both in Hong Kong and in the region.
- Candidates with comparable experience from Trade Finance, Cash Management, Clearing and Securities Services.
- Experience of influencing senior stakeholders and ability to articulate a clear corporate message to successfully embed a ‘value add’ perception of the function within the organisation.
- Fluency in both English and an additional Asian language preferred.
