Senior Compliance Manager | Global Bank | Dublin recruitment
Leading Global Financial Services Company is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Compliance Manager to head up it's European regulatory function.
The Role:
This is a newly created position, reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, to assume responsibility for the management and delivery of the Bank's Regulatory Compliance program for all European operations, business lines and branches.
Key Tasks:
- Developing and implementing regulatory policies and procedures reflecting Irish, EU and EU jurisdiction specific requirements
- Application of a regulatory rules framework applicable to the business
- Maintenance of a regulatory risk assessment framework for the business
- Development and application of a testing and reporting framework
- Assesing, testing, reporting and issue tracking on potential areas of compliance vulnerability and other operational risks while developing and implementing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and prevention of recurrence
- Management of external regulatory examinations and reviews
- Direct interaction with other key bank functions including Legal, Credit, Treasury, Finance, Risk, Fraud and Operations
- Oversight and management of existing compliance staff
The Person:
The successful applicant with have a minimum of 6 years experience in a compliance, risk or internal control role in the financial services sector
Key skills:
- Sound knowledge of key compliance and regulatory topics, including CRD, EBA guidelines, EU developments, AML, Data Protection and regulatory development and / or requirements
- Experienced in process and control development in a financial institution
- Legal, Accounting or other professional / compliance qualification
- Exposure to Basel III, CRD and Payment Service Directive would be a distinct advantage
- Ability to work in a matrix environment, build relationships at all management levels and project manage with strong communication skills
