Senior Compliance Manager

Reporting to Chief Compliance Officer, Singapore, the incumbent will provide leadership to promote compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulation, internal policies and procedures and the applicable industry standards.

Specifically, you will be responsible for providing sound and considered regulatory advice to senior management in-country, regional and group management and the business units that you are supporting. You will formulate and document compliance procedures to address compliance requirements, provide compliance input in relation to new products and new initiatives, deliver training to create greater compliance awareness and to promote compliance as a business enabler within the organisation.

Additionally you will be required to keep abreast of developments in the regulatory environment and advise key stakeholders of its implication to ANZ. This critical role will see you as a key contact person for the regulators and or law enforcement agencies while maintaining good working relationship with them.

Qualifications Experience:

Our preferred candidate holds a degree in Banking or Finance, accountancy, law or other related discipline. You will have at least 6 years of relevant practical compliance experience in supporting business units within a Singapore commercial bank and are familiar with the banking products and services of a commercial bank

Your excellent knowledge on laws, rules and regulations applicable to commercial banking including but not limited to the Banking Act, Banking Regulations, MAS Notices and Guidelines, Financial Advisers Act and Securities and Futures Act will be key to your success. Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills are essential as is your ability to work independently with all level of the organisation while demonstrating good team spirit.
