Senior Compliance Manager recruitment
Role
Role will be to support the Banks Compliance strategy by delivery of the Compliance plan and objectives. The Compliance Manager will be required to help lead a team of managers, setting objectives aligned to the delivery of the Compliance plan as well as performing a coaching and development role.
The jobholder will be responsible for enhancing the compliance culture within the organisation by developing and managing effective relationships with key business areas/stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.
Work closely with the Compliance Director, Head of Product Technical and other senior compliance managers as they build and develop effective working relationships with regulators and other outside bodies.
Provide technical guidance, support and tailored feedback on regulatory issues to both the business and the Compliance Manager population, ensuring that new business proposals as well as existing processes, systems and controls comply with regulatory obligations and the banks own standards and principles.
Ensure there is sufficient resource allocated to provide appropriate support to the business and meet the banks Compliance Plan.
Proactively review and enhance compliance processes and procedures and develop innovative ways to improve the service provided by compliance
Keep up to date on all regulatory related issues across a range of topics
Assess the regulatory risks of new business initiatives, regulatory interventions and changes to the financial environment
Provide oversight and guidance to managers and lead on complex/high profile issues
Knowledge and Experience Required
- Broad and /or In depth technical compliance knowledge and the application of FSA rules and guidance.
- Working knowledge of key regulatory /consumer bodies including: FSA, FLA, OFCOM, The Lending, Standards Board, ICO, Office of Fair Trading Financial Ombudsman Service.
- A wide experience and understanding of the banking and financial services industry.
- Risk, accountancy and legal experience/qualifications will also be considered.
- Leadership and people management.
- Stakeholder, Project Management, Analytical and investigative skills required.
