Learning is responsible for developing, delivering, evaluating and maintaining the learning content, tools, systems, and programs that enable employees to reach their full potential. This is accomplished via a wide range of methodologies, delivery mechanisms and formats to meet specific business needs.
What is expected of you for success in your role
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of adult learning theories and concepts; instructional design theory and methods, various instructional methods and delivery options; measurement and evaluation theory and methods, various software tools used in instructional design and training vendors and resources
- Conducts large, complex needs assessments and audience analysis projects requiring multiple data sources and analysis methods.
- Incorporates data into course design for complex courses and curricula.
- Manages multiple, complex design projects with broad scope (e.g., segment-wide)
- Uses advanced knowledge and experience to select instructional techniques and defines and sequences complex instructional content
- Creates and monitors instructional design standards and oversees quality of instructional materials and products
- Has knowledge of several systematic approaches to evaluation. Knows how, what and when to measure
- Through experience identifies and sources external vendors to meet business needs
- Ability to lead project teams
- Uses advanced knowledge of graphics, audio, video editing, animation and e-learning authoring software programs to develop and deliver training products.
- Uses advanced knowledge of usability and visual design principles to develop training products
Accountabilities in this role
- Design, develop, and own/manage flash, HTML/JavaScript based eLearning courses that are AICC/SCORM compliant and integrate with the learning management system
- Performs quality assurance and resolves technical issues within WBTs and with LMS
- Learn and apply any other emerging technologies as appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree Required
- 7+ years experience
- Advanced Degree preferred
- Proficiency with programs including Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, etc. is highly preferred
- Examples of design work will be required at interview
