Senior Consultant Organizational Change Management Job in Brampton, Ontario Canada
One of our clients within the retail space is currently seeking a Senior Change Management Consultant for a permanent opportunity.
The Senior Change Management Consultant will collaborate with business partners, project team leads and HR to develop, and implement SAP change management programs, including:
o Conducting a business impact assessment to determine changes to process and technology, and to define the impact on colleagues' roles
o Supporting organization and job design initiatives
o Engaging stakeholders to successfully support and deliver the SAP project
o Communicating and preparing colleagues for the change, and building commitment organizationally and individually
o Defining training and user support programs that educate and skill-up colleagues
This candidate must have extensive experience with large process and technological change initiatives and understand how colleagues are impacted by change from both a system and human perspective.
Responsibilities
This role is to consult, develop and implement the change plan driven primarily by process and technology changes to ensure colleague readiness.
Specific responsibilities include:
o Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement plan that will create the foundation for all change management elements.
o Develop and implement Transition Knowledge Transfer program to ensure sustainability of the new skills/roles etc.
o Develop a comprehensive communications plan to broad internal stakeholder audiences impacted by the change project and provide communications in a timely, efficient manner to ensure that colleagues are prepared and committed to the change.
o Consult with the Learning and Training lead to develop a training strategy and plan. Potentially assist with the implementation and delivery of training depending on the nature of the training requirements identified (i.e. Assist with soft skills and process changes; technical trainers will be sourced for systems specific training).
o Consult with the HR lead to identify impact to roles and identify potential changes to job descriptions and organization design.
o Consult with change team, project team and business leaders to develop cultural change and transition plans for colleagues to build readiness and support for the change.
o Develop and implement the performance support plan to provide programs and support to end users post go live.
o Develop and implement a plan to measure and monitor the various elements of the change initiative (i.e. scorecard), identify risk areas and determine appropriate interventions.
o Consult with the different business units on an ongoing basis to implement the change management approaches and plans.
Job Qualifications
o Have at least 8-12 years of experience in ERP Implementation (ideally SAP), including relevant experience on large projects - covering such areas as:
§ Communications
§ Training Education
§ Organization Design and Job Design
§ Stakeholder Management as well as business readiness and monitoring
o Project Management experience highly preferred
o Advanced MS Project skills
o Change management methodologies and best practices experience.
o Must have experience working through strategy, design, build, testing and implementing large transformation projects
o Must have experience in facilitating change management strategies, approaches and tactics with different business units.
o Strong communication and influencing skills
o Builds strong working relationships with clients and HR partners
o Have a strategic orientation and high level of business and people acumen
o Must be able to deal well with ambiguity
o Relevant University degree or equivalent with experience in retail or consumer packed goods industry an asset
