Senior Consultant Transaction IT recruitment
The Operational Transaction Services (OTS) team, advises and supports clients through the complete MA deal lifecycle providing a range of sell-side and buy-side services to clients.
OTS recognises IT as crucial part of its service offering.
The IT service offering of OTS consists of IT due diligence, IT synergy assesments, IT cost analysis, IT post merger integration, IT carve out and post deal value enhancement through corporate restructuring. The team delivers buy side and sell side engagements for corporate firms and private equity houses across the transaction life-cycle.
There is a growing client demand for this type of services and the OTS team is growing fast. Therefore we are looking for driven IT specialists with an affinity with mergers acquisitions to join us and help further developing the practice.
Client responsibilities
· Working within the Operational Transaction Services team to deliver IT Transaction Services engagements including IT Due Diligence, IT Post Merger Integration, IT Carve-outs/ Separation.
· Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of EY, clients and contractors to advise on project plans, conducting fieldwork, interviews, workshops, identifying key issues and risks and supporting Senior staff in delivering client work
· Delivery and review of high-quality, risk-managed reports, client presentations and other suitable work products in various formats
· Support the development and delivery of technical proposals and sales presentations
· Support practice development initiatives including the development of tools, methodologies and market propositions
Skills
General Skill requirements
· The ideal candidate has completed a university education, supplemented with a postgraduate degree (MBA, CPA or equivalent).
· He or she is highly analytical can rapidly explore a business and enterprise sector and identify the IT risks and opportunities from the perspective of the deal.
· Since OTS works with clients primarily on the level of senior management (CEO, CIO, COO, CFO) therefore a professional and robust personality is required.
· He or she has at least four years relevant (see technical skills requirement below) work experience.
· Experience with mergers and / or acquisitions is definitely a plus.
· Expertise in a large industry, or extensive experience in leading IT technology is an advantage.
Technical skills requirements
Exposure to at least one the following:
A. Experience of transactions, ideally in performing of IT Due Diligence and/or IT post merger integration, IT separation/carve-out assignments
B. Experience in industry in a Managerial capacity (within an organisation's IT department or on the IT supplier side)
C. Experience of IT transformation advisory and consulting within a professional services environment
The following should be considered as 'must have' attributes:
· Broad knowledge and deep understanding of one or more core aspects of a typical IT function, including Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy and Governance, Systems Integration and Application Development, ERP/CRM IT programs (SAP/ORACLE),IT Service Delivery, IT infrastructure, IT financials and dynamics of an IT function
· Programme and project management expertise with demonstrable experience in managing and being responsible for the delivery of successful projects
· Knowledge of Structured methodologies and a familiarity with industry standards such as ITIL for Infrastructure, Systems Development Life Cycle methods and COBIT for IT governance
· Ability to provide insights based on experience on IT aspects of transaction deals that are relevant and valued by clients and readers of the IT Due Diligence reports
· Excellent verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills;
· Experience of IT outsourcing, vendor management and IT procurement
· Flexible with working locations, the ability to learn quickly and leverage skills in new situations
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong team working skills are essential
