Our client provides a full range of environmental services and has a strong reputation for technical excellence, innovation and quality of work. They are part of the major multinational consultancy practice comprising approximately 30, 000 engineers and scientists operating worldwide. There environmental consulting services include Contaminated Sites and Remediation Management advice, Water Resources and Sustainability advice, and Environmental, Social and Health Impact Assessments (ESHIA). In the UK our client currently employs over 60 staff in the Environment team, operating from offices in Bristol, Leeds and London.
Contaminated Sites is a core expertise and as a result of continued expansion our client wishes to appoint Technical Directors / Principals with a track record of delivery of high quality services to key clients. This is a superb opportunity for exceptional senior professionals to join dynamic teams working within the Contaminated Sites Group in the Leeds and Bristol offices. The key roles and requirements for these positions are:
• Provide senior technical support to the Leeds or Bristol office contaminated sites teams as well as acting as a wider senior technical resource across the regional practice.
• Undertake an active role in business development with new and existing clients.
• Mentor and train junior staff.
• Excellent people management skills.
• Liaise with and support key clients.
• Oversee and provide technical direction for contaminated sites projects ensuring deadlines are met and work is carried out within budgets.
• Ensure high technical quality across the project team including the review of proposals, reports and remediation designs.
• Involvement in the local management team and operations of the office.
• Lead the HSSE culture of a project, both client-facing and internally.
Requirements Qualifications/Experience
• A relevant degree and substantial record of managing complex contaminated sites projects
• A full driving license and willingness to travel in the UK and abroad.
