The Role
Reporting to the Supervisor – Content Production, this role works with the Online Category Managers, Inventory Manager and Merchants to coordinate the production of content in an efficient and timely manner. Working as a team with minimal supervision, the Sr Content Production Coordinator will ensure that all skus that are set up for the enterprise and ready for publishing for in store signage, online display and in the advertising production application for advertising publications. Having a solid understanding of the key business drivers, rules and objectives the Sr Content Production Coordinator will delegate sku assignments and projects to the appropriate person within the content team and communicate project status, issues, and resolutions. Based on his/her understanding of the workflow and using key leadership skills the Sr. Content Production Coordinator will identify and resolve issues leading to work delays and bottle-necking and bring forward common occurring problems and suggest alternatives to improve processes. Working closely with the Vendor Direct Fulfillment team he/she will also assist with coordinating/ completing the production of content for VDF products and ready them for publishing to our sites.
Responsibilities
Content Production Coordination
- Under moderate guidance of the Supervisor, coordinate the daily activities of the content production team.
- Ensure consistency of content production across all 3 channels, in store, on line and in ad.
- Assigns and delegates skus and projects to the appropriate people following the defined workflow.
- Identifies times of high volume and understands and is able to complete full cycle of content production as needed.
- Tracks status of skus, assignments and projects and is able to effectively report on and communicate on each of these.
- Identifies and is able to resolve common occurring problems. Brings forward issues and works to put solutions or alternatives in place to fix the issue and find ways to ensure they do not continue.
- Contact person for content errors, approvals and common or regular occurring requests.
Communication and Planning
- Using well developed communication skills – written and verbal – regularly communicate with Online Category Managers, traditional merchants and Inventory Managers to ensure skus will be ready for publishing according to the established marketing plans.
- Prioritize and plan for upcoming launches or volume increases to ensure deadlines are met and product content is published according to the plan.
- Balances all 3 channels of Content publishing to be done in the appropriate timelines.
- Keeps abreast of new and emerging technologies and product launches to ensure that those skus are prioritized or given special treatment or attention as needed.
Teamwork and Leadership
- Works closely with Vendor Direct Fulfillment team to keep a continuous flow of content produced for the VDF channel.
- Uses leadership skills to promote team work and engagement.
- Assists with coaching to achieve team goals in the Content Production team.
- Assists in full cycle content production entry as needed.
Requirements
All requirements are based on the following years of experience including, but not limited to the following:
- 3 years experience coordinating workflow management processes and executing Content Management Principals.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks within a fast-paced production environment
- Effective interpersonal skills with strong communication, both written and verbal.
- Ability to problem solve and prioritize under tight deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office
- The ideal candidate will have had exposure to the publishing industry in a coordinating capacity and demonstrates a passion for technology
Education
- Undergraduate Degree in Commerce, Business, Communications preferred.
