Senior Control Room Executive

This is an excellent opportunity offering exposure to a diverse range of investment banking activities across the entire organisation.
The role includes conflicts management in the region, ensuring the integrity of the Firm`s infrastructure, policies, procedures and controls designed to manage conflicts of interest comply with the regulatory requirements. The role requires regular interaction with Business Groups and Risk and Support functions, often with senior management. As a senior member of the Control Room team, you play a leading role in:

- Maintaining a number of key group-wide policies designed to ensure the Companyfulfils its legal obligations and avoids reputation damage arising from conflicts of interest, insider dealing, and market abuse
- Establishing and maintaining key policies and procedures, where relevant in conjunction with colleagues globally, designed to ensure that conflicts are appropriately managed within the firm, including: Conflicts of interest policy, Chinese Wall and restricted list policy
- Developing procedures and systems to ensure that the firm continues to control the conflicts inherent in its business, especially as the business grows and diversifies
- Ensuring that the firm`s Chinese Walls and information barriers are maintained and robust, by implementing firm-wide policies and procedures, monitoring for breaches, and assisting in new business proposals
- Running a number of key processes

- Degree educated
- Considerable experience gained within investment banking or regulatory environment
- A sound understanding of investment-financial markets
- Excellent knowledge of financial services regulation, in particular FSA`s rules and guidance, and the relevant exchange rules and Takeover Code
- Previous Control Room experience or experience in a relevant role
- Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships at all levels of the firm
- Outstanding and persuasive verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate clearly verbally and maintain confident when being challenged
- Highly self motivated with the ability to make things happen, determine priorities and meet deadlines
- Able to work under pressure and have attention to detail when meeting short deadlines
- A systematic approach supported by sound initiative
- Ability to think laterally with strong commercial Acumen
