Senior Controller
Responsibilities
Month-end close/ Year end close/ Month-end reporting
- Oversee and support the month-end close process for the 3 UK AM legal entities and consolidate together with Financial Accounting in Europe and US
- Month-end reporting (produce and maintain monthly UK country reporting, local business area reports, monthly CEO report and COO reporting) and present to the local management
- Prepare and support annual financial statements together with Financial Accounting and coordinate the audit.
Budget and Forecast
- Support the annual AM planning/ budget and forecasting process
- Reconciling the global top-down budget for UK
- Confirming the budget with local business heads, local CEO as well as finance departments
- Prepare a legal entity budget for the Asset Management entities and present to business heads
Regulator coverage/ Board meetings/ Audit committees/ Town hall meetings
- Primary contact with local regulators as well as groups within Legal, Compliance, FA etc.
- Prepare and present the quarterly AM UK advisory board meetings documentation and Audit Committee documentation
- Prepare finance documentation to the local regulator (FSA)
- Prepare local UK AM town hall meetings
Projects and Ad-hoc requests
- Ad-hoc requests (e.g. expenses analyses, business analyses, FSA requests, etc.)
- Support local new business projects as well as strategic and product initiatives with finance expertise and being the interface to other finance related parties e.g. Financial Accounting, Treasury, Tax etc.
Requirements:
Education
• Qualified Accountant (essential)
• Masters or MBA would be desirable
Background
• Demonstrated financial services experience (essential)
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding / appreciation of the Asset Management business would be desirable
• Experience of working within the UK regulatory environment (essential)

• Able to work independently with a proactive approach

• Ability to influence and act as the interface between senior management and the finance function.
