Senior Coordinator, Timetabling Job in Melbourne 3000

The Academic Registrar's Group (ARG) is responsible for the administrative, policy and governance activities of the University which relate to the student lifecycle.

Student timetabling is a key priority in the ARG plan for 2012-2015 and improvements are planned in student timetabling through integration of class scheduling, enrolment and room booking processes and systems. The Senior Coordinator, Timetabling will lead work on this priority from the analysis and planning stages through to the delivery of integrated student timetabling.  Supporting the Manager, Course and Program Administration in project related work and continuous improvement activities across the Course and Program Administration unit, as the successful candidate you will be responsible for providing detailed advice to senior management on integrated student timetabling in Universities in Australia and New Zealand using Campus Solutions and Syllabus+.

You will work collaboratively with Property Services, Information Technology Services and college and school staff to manage and lead the implementation of integrated student timetabling for Higher Education students (and review the possibility for TAFE students) and be responsible for coordinating and maintaining ongoing operational activities related to the academic calendar, terms and sessions, class scheduling and student timetabling.

As a senior member of this team you will also be expected to provide advice on the resourcing requirements, internal and external to the ARG for integrated student timetabling and effectively train, lead, develop and motivate staff to work as a part of a team in order to achieve team goals and objectives.

As the successful candidate for this position, you will be a client focused individual with demonstrated experience in leading teams to effectively deliver quality services to stakeholders and a capacity to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.  Furthermore, you will bring to us extensive experience in planning and coordinating a complex process/project with high organisational impact. Your knowledge of relevant University policies and procedures and familiarity with Campus Solutions and Syllabus+ will be beneficial to your application.
