Senior Copper Analyst recruitment
The senior analyst will form part of a highly respected team responsible for researching the supply side of the copper industry. The research covers both operations and projects and entails the evaluation of techno-economic competitiveness, project evaluation and supports asset and company benchmarking and valuation. The team produces regular (quarterly and annual) multi-client research relating to the aluminium, copper, lead, gold, nickel and zinc industries and undertakes client specific consulting assignments on these metals.
Specifically, the senior analyst copper smelters will be responsible for the delivery of the copper smelter and refinery research programme to include the updating and expansion of databases, producing analysis and providing insights to clients on the copper smelter industry including:
• Bottom up analysis of the cost structure of individual smelter/refinery assets including operational benchmarking
• Top down reconciliation of corporate financial accounts to individual assets
• Reconciling the bottom up and top down analysis and entering data into Brook Hunt proprietary systems
• Establishing and maintaining contact with producers/stakeholders to secure proprietary data
• Visiting assets globally to acquire data and knowledge
• Analysis of the broader industry to draw together the individual analyses and to provide our client base with concise, timely and insightful analysis of industry trends and events
• Communication of the analysis to clients through presentations and written reports
• Providing the knowledge on which to support consultancy in this business area
