Chinalco Mining Corporation International (“CMC”) is a resource development company acting as Chinalco’s core platform for the future acquisition, investment, development and operation of non-ferrous and non-aluminum mineral resources and projects overseas. Our controlling shareholder, Chinalco, is a Fortune Global 500 company since 2008, and a leading metals and mining conglomerate based in China.
Currently, we are focusing on developing the Toromocho Project located in central Peru. The Toromocho Project is the world’s second largest pre-production copper project and the third scheduled to clargest pre-production copper project, among the top 20 firm copper mining projects ommence production of copper concentrate from 2012 to 2016.
Key Job Description:
- Making contracts are executed timely and effectively
- Declaration of contractual options at optimal timing
- Analyzing/Editing/checking/amending contract
- In –house coordination and with customer to ensure L/C is fully negotiable
- Ensure receipt and/or passing of timely and accurate nominations, laycan declaration/agreement
- Suggest and discuss with traders optimization of the contract position
- Coordinate timing of ETA between C/P and commercial contract and optimization of timing
- Establishing optimal quantity to be loaded, according to contract quantity and price and c/p terms and Stowage plan
- Following vessel during laden passage, reporting of position, ETA
- Extensive travel within Asia and America
Qualifications:
- Good understanding and knowledge of loading/discharging and knowledge of bulk commodity logistic
- Thorough knowledge of contact terms (Commercial terms/Credit terms/Inco terms/Shipping terms and Legal clauses)
- Knowledge, optimization and approximate calculation of demurrage cost
- Knowledge of Bill of Lading terms, Insurance terms, Customs documents in particular and other Shipping documents in general
- Knowledge of credit tools (Doc L/C vs. SBL/C vs. Pre-payment vs. open account
- Understanding of L/C terms of Letters of Credit
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
- Good English spoken and written
- Computer skills(MS office programs experience and knowledge)
- Minimum 3~5 years related experience
