Senior Corporate Actions Analyst
A challenging role has just become available for a Senior Corporate Actions Analyst within a well known investment bank based in London.
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Senior Corporate Actions Analyst is to ensure work processed within the section has been completed correctly in accordance with company procedures and client instructions. To provide technical support and direction to Corporate Action Administrators and colleagues. To escalate to line management any matters of risk, compliance breaches and other matters of concern identified during the course of their daily work.
The jobholder must ensure adherence and adoption of standards and best practice in order to minimise operational/financial risk and provide excellent client service.
Responsibilities:
- To monitor and manage global processing workflow and work queues.
- To ensure accurate processing of daily work.
- Timely distribution of daily work to Administrators including exceptions and queries.
- Timely and accurate checking of daily work.
- Adherence to established procedures and controls.
- Escalation of issues/concerns including staff issues to line management, including compliance breaches, errors and losses on a timely basis and in accordance with defined escalation procedures.
- Timely and accurate resolution of processing exceptions.
- Adherence to market/external deadline.
- Provide technical support to administrators and other colleagues.
- Train/mentor other staff.
- Provide feedback to line management on performance of Administrators based on error levels detected during checking process and maintain relevant records to support feedback.
- Contribute to the writing of procedures and controls as directed by line management.
- Provide support to Business and IT developments/initiatives as directed by line management.
- To deliver a quality global corporate actions service to company's clients.
- Develop internal and external relationships to support Corporate Action efficiencies, improve client service and/or reduce operation/client risk.
- To be aware of and manage day to day risk associated with the role.
Knowledge Experience/Qualifications:
- Extensive global corporate actions experience
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Global Corporate Action events and markets (essential)
- Sound knowledge of Global Corporate Actions swift messages (essential)
- Sound knowledge of the securities industry and global market infrastructure (essential)
- Be able to demonstrate a track record of validating and releasing voluntary and mandatory Global Corporate Actions processing (essential)
- Be able to demonstrate a track record of validating and releasing instructions to market (essential)
- Strong IT Excel skills.
- Demonstrates strong awareness/ability to recognise and effectively contain financial and operational risk.
- Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work in pressurised environment and manage priorities effectively.

- Customer focused committed to providing a high quality service.
