Senior Cost Analyst
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing Financial leadership and support for selected Manufacturing facilities.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist the Manufacturing leadership in the analysis of financial performance to the operating plans.
• Assist on the reporting and interpretation of Operations’ results to all levels of management.
• Maintain all budget/forecast records and operational financial metrics.
• Perform financial analysis of actual results versus forecasts and budgets, and work with Manufacturing leadership to provide insight as to all significant variances to forecast and budget.
• Identify opportunities within the Manufacturing organizations which will drive cost reductions while increasing the throughput of product.
• Manage the annual operating budget of the select Manufacturing group.
• Adhere to all appropriate financial policies such as GAAP and SOX.
• Prepare ad hoc reports to support analysis and decisions of the Manufacturing leadership.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5 years experience in financial management.
• 3 years experience in cost accounting, budget and forecast, and/or cost analysis.
• Experience in the Manufacturing industry.
• Solid project management experience.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and expert knowledge of Excel.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate on cross-functional teams and interact with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to travel up to 15% to Plant locations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• Previous experience with Oracle.
• Experience in journal entry, bookkeeping, and month-end close.
