Job Description About The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high quality consulting services to clients, representing the firm in all matters to successfully deliver the consulting services in line with client and company policy and plans. Key Responsibilities Maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) which shall be in accordance with the authorised budget structure. Allocate budget, actual and forecast costs to cost codes within the WBS Maintain the computer based cost reporting system in the cost databas Monitor project costs and evaluate them against budget and progress on a continuing basis Immediately report favourable and unfavourable trends to the Controls Manager with recommendations for corrective action Prepare the Monthly Project Cost Report and associated ancillary reports in compliance with the agreed Monthly Report format Ensure estimates to complete are promptly and accurately completed by the responsible officers Prepare interim studies and analyses as required to keep the Controls Team and Project Management Team members aware of the cost status of the project or relevant sections of the project Ensure cost compilation, data input and progress reporting by others is expeditiously completed in conformance with procedures Prepare forecasts of final Project costs for review and approval by relevant stakeholders prior to inclusion in Project Cost Reports Prepare for Management approval, Budget Transfer Requests (BTR's) where transfers within the approved budget are proposed Collect information and prepare Project Historical Reports if required Key Skills and Attributes Required The successful candidate will have the ability to rapidly absorb and understand projects whilst liaising directly with our client to ensure that the processes and systems are implemented in an accurate and timely manner As well as self-motivation, excellent communication skills, and a high attention to detail, the successful applicant will have the following demonstrated skills and abilities Formal qualifications in an Engineering, Quantity Surveying or other relevant discipline Advanced Excel skills and ideally a knowledge of database Project Management systems such as Prolog Exceptional time management skills with an organised and structured approach to the tasks at hand
