Senior Counsel – Banking and Finance
Our client is seeking a banking and finance senior counsel to join their regional legal team in Hong Kong. Applications are invited from lawyers with 5 – 7 years post qualification experience gained at an international firm or similar in-house position. The role is transactional in nature and experience in the documentation of global markets, lending, structured finance and commodities transactions and advising on cross-border legal matters is expected. Execution of investment banking transactions and the ability to work independently is required. Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese is pre-requisite.
Responsibilities:
- The drafting and reviewing of global markets, investment banking, commodities and security documentation
- Advising on cross-border legal matters
- Instruct and liaise with external legal counsel
- Regional responsibility
Skills:
- 5 – 7 years PQE
- International law firm or experience in similar in-house position
- Comprehensive range of banking and finance experience
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese languages
