Senior Country Risk Analyst recruitment

The role
•To provide the bank with high quality, forward-looking analysis of country risks affecting global economies. This will include:
-Structural assessment of the vulnerability of key countries
-Proactive crisis alerts and advice
-Cross-cutting global contagion risk assessments
-Weekly risk briefs
•To make recommendations of Sovereign Risk Ratings and Watchlist Colours to Head of Country Risk Analysis Group Country Risk Committee
•To present regular concise, authoritative, considered views on country risks to key stakeholders committees, as required
•Responsibility within Country Risk Analysis for models; lead the team’s participation in development of regulatory Sovereign Risk Model requirements
•To co-ordinate, edit and deliver weekly country risk brief to senior management
•To provide risk support to the Group Country Risk Management team and contribute to Global Country Risk departmental projects
•To represent Head of Country Risk Analysis when required
•To support the One Risk agenda – including collaborating in stress testing and other cross-departmental or divisional projects as required
•To maintain a network of country intelligence – to include representing the bank in country visits – that enhances risk output and early warning capacity
•To contribute to the ongoing development of the Country Risk Analysis systems and processes
•To co-ordinate with the Bank’s other research areas to enhance analytical quality

Experience:
•Minimum of five years in a relevant environment;
•Professional country risk analyst/economist, trained to at least BSc/BA level with experience of economic forecasting/modelling
•Excellent presentation skills
•Exemplary written skills
•High level interpersonal skill
