Senior Credit Administrator

The Senior Credit Administrator provides professional management of all credit disciplines including over $200M of accounts receivable and $500M of credit sales. This involves continuous investigation and research designed to assist in limiting unnecessary risk and exposure while ensuring the following:
• Continued sales growth and profitability
• Positive contributions to economic earnings and increased shareholder wealth
• Customer focus in tandem with marketing, sales and operations
• Effective management of SAP R/3 to maximize productivity within the Credit department

The Senior Credit Analyst must work closely with customers, Sales, Branch Services, Ebusiness, Perfect Order, Legal, On-Site Services, and Accounts Receivable departments.
Coordinate cross-functional resources to resolve accounts receivable issues, resulting in well informed business decisions that significantly affect customer relationships and economic earnings.
Emphasis to:
# Provide management for the administration of credit collections for assigned accounts receivable portfolio up to $200M and sales up to $500M.
# Complete professional customer credit worthiness evaluations, utilizing complex financial statement analysis, credit reports, analyst reviews, etc., to facilitate effective decision-making, with credit limit and order release authority up to $500K.
# Synchronize order process, billing, and payment process resolutions with internal and external business partners, coordinating vertical and horizontal channels to maximize data integrity and process efficiency.
# Support Sales management as a credit resource for the entire customer relationships.
# Primary focus is on large customers with sophisticated processes and systems (EDI, ERS, Summary Billing, EFT payments, web billing, etc.) that require unique attention.
# Travel to internal/external business partners to foster and maintain close working relationships.
# Maintain knowledge of regulatory guidelines and changes (Sarbanes Oxley, SEC, GAAP, UCC guidelines, NACM, etc.)
# Assist with formulation of credit policies, procedures, and best-demonstrated practices, etc.
# Understand Grainger’s core business.
# Project management as assigned.
# Coordinate communications and establish relationships with business partners and customers.
# Performs other duties as assigned.

• A degree in business with a minimum of 7 years of progressive business experience preferred, with significant responsibility in finance, credit, collections, and process resolution.
• A comprehensive understanding of business principals including accounting, credit and collections, financial statement analysis, banking and finance, commercial law, marketing, statistics, economics, human behavior and computer science.
• Professional credit credentials are preferred, must obtain a CCE certification within 3 years.
• Ability to work effectively and develop relationships with all levels of management.
• Demonstrated writing/oral communication and presentation skills—effective across vertical/horizontal lines of organizational structures.
• Other attributes and competencies include: results driven, customer focused, decisive, analytical, creative, agile, and possess technical literacy.
• Bi-lingual language skills preferred for International Credit.
