Senior Credit Analyst | Assistant Vice President
Our client is an International Bank with a strong presence superb reputation in the Australian marketplace. Due to company growth, an exciting position has just been created for a bright and dedicated Senior Credit Analyst / Assistant Vice President (AVP) to join their high performing Japanese Corporate Banking team.
You will be responsible for detailed credit-analysis of corporate customers and transactions including financial modeling and developing reports. The position will undertake the preparation of credit applications whilst building relationships within the existing portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head of Japanese Corporate Banking, you will be responsible for your own client portfolio and will also need to comply with the banks policies and procedures.
Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 2+ years’ experience working as a Credit Analyst or AVP ideally from a Corporate/Institutional Banking environment or Financial Institution ($10 - 50 Million Deals). You will also need to demonstrate a good understanding and ability to interpret financial statements, and have a sound understanding of banking practices and be able to converse in both Japanese and English.
Duties will include:
- Delivery of detailed credit analysis and financial analysis of corporate customers and potential deals.
- Working with financial models, modeling cash flows and financial information in order to undertake financial analysis.
- Preparation of reports for presentations to external parties, such as customers and advisors
- Preparation of credit papers with the front office to seek credit approval for transactions from Credit Departments.
- Participate in origination support, research and marketing initiatives.
- Meeting with clients in order to support and build relationships.
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Commerce or similar.
- 2+ years’ experience from a similar role ideally within Banking.
- Experience in the preparation of credit applications or the ongoing maintenance of loans ranging from $1-100 million.
- Strong computer skills report writing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese.
