Senior Credit Analyst (Global Asset Management) recruitment
UBS Global Asset management seeks a Senior Credit Analyst to enhance its Asia Pacific credit team, based in Singapore. The analyst will be responsible for fundamental credit research of investment and sub-investment grade corporate issuers in the Australia-Pacific region. The research activities form the basis for recommendations to the portfolio managers of the Asia-Pacific fixed income portfolios and where required, global portfolios.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Undertake credit assessments of corporates from within the APAC region, utilising both quantitative and qualitative methods
- Develop into a sector specialist for assigned industries within the global UBS network
- Prepare thematic research pieces, either self-initiated or as requested
- Conduct meetings with company management and provide feedback to portfolio managers
- Make fundamental and relative value trade recommendations, implemented either through bonds or credit derivatives, to the portfolio management team globally
- Contribute more broadly to the global credit research effort
- Maintain awareness of domestic and global economic conditions
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have more than 5 years experience in credit or equities research, corporate finance or credit risk management along with the following skills and knowledge:
- Understanding of balance sheets and accounting methods necessary
- Previous experience in credit analysis of the Chinese property sector would also be extremely advantageous.
- Detailed knowledge of core products (Bonds, CDS) is an advantage, but not essential
- University degree qualified
- CA/CPA/CFA/SIA preferred
- Financial modelling experience skills required
- English essential. Cantonese and/or Mandarin would be beneficial
