Description
Candidate will have primary analytical responsibility for multiple credit sectors (mainly corporate but likely including a small amount of municipal bond analysis as well) which will involve reaching analytical conclusions based on research both qualitative and quantitative. These multiple sectors will each require a comprehensive knowledge base in order to form good relative comparative judgment between credits. Will make buy/sell recommendations independently yet in team atmosphere. Must also have a complete understanding of how to obtain relevant information in frequently very short time frames from multiple sources that will vary with the credit. Will maintain surveillance of all credits under assigned sectors and be responsible for informing desk of any potential problems and opportunities. Will be responsible for explaining rationale for credit decisions to the group and to clients orally and in writing in a comprehensive and persuasive manner.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree and completion of or at least progress toward MBA/CFA required. At least 10 years direct bond research experience required which includes substantive primary responsibility for lower-rated credits in higher-risk sectors. Must be a team player and be prepared to make substantive decisions with a high degree of independence.
