Senior Credit Officer-Leveraged Finance recruitment
The Role:
- To develop risk appetite that supports the business aspirations of the UK Bank and Corporate Finance business line.
- Working closely with the CEO, executive directors, Board and shareholder to delivering the strategic aims of the Bank.
- To work closely with Head Office in respect of new deal volume, credit risk management and audit both internally and externally.
- To develop and maintain an independent approach to credit assessment.
- Managing and implementing Bank credit policies.
- Monitoring and identifying risk concentration, trends and portfolio quality for the Leveraged business.
- Determining appropriate measures to minimise risk and maximise potential business opportunities and maintain a well-balanced book.
- Working closely with Originations team to support successful execution of new Leveraged Finance transactions.
- Ensuring internal and external reporting requirements are identified and met liaising with internal and external auditors as required.
- Participation in the general management of the Company.
Candidates for this position should possess:
- Relevant Credit experience, preferably gained in a banking environment within Leveraged or Structured Finance with previous credit authority.
- Proven ability to develop and implement credit strategies and policies that support the objectives of a business.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships, negotiate and communicate with both internal and external executives and senior management.
- Ability to recruit, lead and motivate staff .
- Strong knowledge of legal, accounting and regulatory requirements, including familiarity with Basel II and III capital adequacy framework.
