Senior Credit Risk Analyst
We are seeking a self motivated, commercially oriented and driven individual with strong interpersonal skills who can demonstrate a sound understanding of credit risk assessment and management in the context of a commodities trading environment and in particular, physical oil trading and derivatives trading.
The candidate will be degree educated preferably in Economics, Finance or quantitative discipline and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in credit management in a commodity trading house, bank or energy company.
Key Responsibilities
Aspects of the role involve:
- Analysing financial statements and preparing credit reviews for a broad range of oil and gas, shipping counterparts across different jurisdictions
- Recommending credit ratings / limits and credit enhancement as appropriate
- Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with traders and front office
- Negotiating credit terms in ISDA and CSA or other similar agreements
- Establishing and maintaining strong credit relationships with counterparts and peers
- Reviewing and analysing new transactions
- Reporting daily credit exposure, escalating breaches to management
- Maintaining counterparty records across a range of systems and assist with systems enhancement
- Monitoring and maintaining parent company guarantees and other similar credit support documents

- Strong analytical skills

- Understanding of derivative products
- Team player
- Additional languages is an advantage
- Proficient in using databases / IT systems
- Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines where necessary
