Senior Credit Risk Manager (Vice President), Private Banking recruitment

The Company
Client is a growing Private Bank.

The Role
The senior credit analyst (Vice President) will work closely with the Head of Credit Risk, Wealth Management Asia, and is responsible for Credit Risk Management of Asia's credit or lending business. You will conduct critical risk assessments as well as approving proposals from the business to lend to high networth individuals and their related companies for credit exposures in Asia as well as Margin Lending (Brokerage) business in Hong Kong.

You will also be responsible to manage the private banking and brokerage credit portfolio with aim for minimal loan provisions or losses, and obtaining satisfactory audit rating in local credit and portfolio and processes. You will ensure critical analysis and management of daily excesses and shortfalls, and handling top-up and close-out situations. This requires close working with Risk Monitoring and Control teams in both Singapore and Hong Kong. When necessary, this position will step in as designated leave cover for the Risk Monitoring and Control function in Hongkong.

You will hold a direct responsibility in developing and managing the region's credit risk infrastructure platform including relevant risk processes with aim to constantly improve the Bank's overall Risk Management function effectiveness and efficiency. You will conduct Asia credit portfolio risk assessment, analysis, stress testing and reporting including quarterly credit portfolio review. You will also provide active advice and support to sales unit, private bankers and investment advisors on credit structures as well as credit policies and products related matters.

Your Profile
The successful candidate will be a degree holder with minimum 12 years of working experience in Private Banking credit risk management. Knowledge of operational risk, market risk Basel 2 would be an advantage. You will have in-depth understanding of crediting documentation and risk monitoring within Private Banking and Brokerage environment.
