Senior Credit Risk – Oil/Gas/Mining recruitment
Our client is a very large and stable bank that has been a major supporter of natural resources projects in Australia and the region for a long time. It has maintained its appetite to lend consistently through recent testing times and now due to restructuring it is looking for an additional senior hire.
We are looking for a person to join a specialist credit risk group who has already gained familiarity with large scale oil and gas companies and their associated projects. This will be a senior hire reporting to the head of credit risk and the role will be responsible for a broad portfolio of natural resource financings with particular emphasis on oil, gas and some mining names and projects. Experience in dealing with corporate names and non-recourse finance projects would be well received, candidates should have already had a substantial credit delegation in their previous roles. Additionally the model of responsibilities at this firm includes considerable input on deal structuring and client relationship management.
In summary desired background would include:
• Ten or more years institutional credit risk management with an actively lending bank.
• Considerable experience of the oil/gas/mining industries.
• Technical background such as Geology or Engineering would be well received.
The scope exists to hire a person at an Associate Director or Director role depending on the level of experience that you can bring.
