Job: Senior Critical Care Nurse (High Dependency Unit)
Salary: Negotiable (D.O.E)
Location: Bingley, West Yorkshire

Hays Healthcare is proud to be working in partnership with leading independent hospital provider who require a Senior Critical Care Nurse for their hospital in Bingley, West Yorkshire. Our client, with a network of 22 acute hospitals in the UK, has won the “private hospital group of the year” award at the Health Investor Awards for continued excellent care provision.
You would be working in a newly built four-bedded, level 2 High Dependency surgical unit for patients undergoing orthopaedic, general and bariatric surgery.

Job Role Responsibilities:

Providing high quality care alongside Consultant Anaesthetists and Surgeons and under the direction and support of the Critical Care Lead Nurse, primary responsibilities would include:

• To deliver safe care for patients in the HDU
• To assist the Critical Care Lead in the development of the HDU service
• To provide training, guidance and supervision of Ward Staff in High Dependency care
• To work alongside Surgeons, Intensivists, Anaesthetists and Ward Staff to deliver multi-disciplinary care

Person Specification Requirements:

• NMC Registered Nurse
• Previous post registration critical care experience
• Good communication skills, written and oral
• A proven ability to work effectively and flexibly in a team environment and independently as required
• Previous clinical supervisory experience
• A recognised Critical Care qualification, i.e. ENB 100 or 249 would be desirable
