SENIOR DECISION SUPPORT ANALYST * Job in Sacramento, California Us

The Senior Analyst, Decision Support Cost Standards is
responsible for developing and maintaining the enterprise
wide cost accounting standards for the CHW Horizon
Performance Manager (HPM) decision support information
system. This position is also responsible for insuring the
accuracy and consistency of the centralized development of
the CHW decision support cost standards. This includes
timely and methodical reviews and the development of cost
standards for all 42 CHW hospitals by working closely with
work the general ledger staff at each facility in order to
understand how and where certain patient revenue and
expense items are booked and then translate this into an
appropriate cost standard methodology, the Decision Support
Integration team in remapping revenues and/or expenses as
necessary to match the cost standards, the facility and
corporate Charge Description Master teams in order to be
kept apprised of new charge codes that will need cost
standards developed and changes made across the
enterprise to the corporate CDM and how those may affect
the cost standards and the corporate Materials Management
team to utilize their acquisition cost data into the cost
standards for supplies and develop the best method to
maintain and cost supplies.

This position will all Oversee and fulfill the role as a back-up
for the periodic RVU decision support system database
update process for the facilities, create and conduct detailed
audits of the cost data that is interfaced into the decision
support system to ensure accuracy, extract data from other
sources which may include Lawson, Supply Chain, and
Pharmacy Systems in order to obtain detailed cost data to
convert in to cost RVU's qnd create and maintain
methodology to integrate cost data from outside systems into
HPM.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business
required.
* 5 to 8 years combined experience in healthcare decision
support, cost accounting and/or finance.
* Experience in developing and maintaining cost standards in
a multi-department, multi-facility environment preferred.
* Strong computer application skills, including Microsoft
Access.
* Actual hands on experience with the McKesson suite of
decision support and performance analytics applications
highly preferred.
* Knowledge and understanding of clinical and financial data
warehousing concepts and applications.
* Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts both
verbally and in writing to personnel at all levels of the
organization.
* Ability to establish and maintain relationships with personnel
at other remote locations.
* Advanced data auditing and analytical skill sets.
