Due to an increase in Derivative volumes our client requires an experienced Senior Derivative Officer with a strong background in Custody.
The key focus of this role is to support efficient and effective Derivative operations within policy guidelines, whilst maintaining a superior level of service to customers and business partners.
The successful applicant will be a flexible and dynamic team player, with the ability to provide high quality service to both internal and external customers in a fast paced atmosphere. The Senior Derivatives Operations Officer has responsibility and accountability for critical daily functions on the Derivative Operations Team. A strong background in Custody is essential and you will be the "Go To" person for officers in the complex environment of Derivative Financial Instruments. You will also be responsible for Business Process Re-engineering while continuously monitoring operational risk functions. In addition, you will be comfortable dealing with Senior Stakeholders and Internal/External Counterparties.
Key Attributes -
• 3-5 years specific Custody Derivatives experience with exposure to Derivatives with Debt and or Equities advantageous
• Detailed technical knowledge of the complete trade cycle from order placement through to deal settlement.
• Detailed product knowledge specifically in relation to domestic and international derivatives, Debt/fixed interest,Equities and Foreign Exchange.
• Knowledge of how to perform cash reconciliations, security setup, valuations, trade entry, matching and confirmation processes.
• Knowledge of the relationship of various parties in trading securities withing the Custody and Investment sector including the role of front office, investment analysts, fund accountants and settlements.
