Senior Derivatives, Structured Credit Lawyer recruitment

Senior Derivatives, Structured Credit Lawyer - in-House - Singapore.

Our client, a major investment bank, seeks to recruit an expert in the field of derivatives and structured products law to advise its structuring and sales business teams on all matters relating to the structuring and execution of structured credit, commodity and FX/Rates derivatives in the Asia Pacific Region.

Based in Singapore this is a rare and unique opportunity for a derivatives lawyer to join a fast-paced and challenging environment.

The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include working with traders and structures to help structure trades and draft the appropriate documentation (i.e. term sheets, offer documents, sales and trading agreements) and advising on the legal and regulatory risks throughout a variety of product life cycles and transactions executed with numerous counterparty types across the Asia Pacific Region.

Applicants should have at least eight years' post qualification experience at a recognised derivatives institution or a primary international or Singaporean law firm in this field. The prospective joiner will demonstrate the required technical and analytical skills suitable for the role and the ability to present sound and persuasive ideas or opinions clearly especially in the areas of regulator change and derivatives throughout Asia. Communication, judgement and problem solving skills will be paramount. The successful candidate will require the ability to think ahead, anticipate questions, plans for contingencies, find alternative solutions and identify clear objectives. Our client needs a lawyer who is a strong team player, who effectively handles difficult requests, and can build trusting, long-term relationships with traders, structurers and clients.

Excellent remuneration and bonus potential available.
