Senior Design Engineer
Description:
Plan and execute design project for large/small lamp assemblies
Analyze problems and synthesize solutions
Create 2D drawings and 3D models
Negotiate technical details with customer and factory
Supervise and train other design engineers
Requirements
Bachelor in Mechanical engineering or equivalent degree/experience.
3D CAD (CATIA V5) experience in Solids, Surfacing, Assembly, and Drafting.
Engineering knowledge (optical, mechanical, electrical, plastics, assembly, etc.).
Automotive experience with knowledge of Honda development process.
Injection-molded plastic part design experience.
Ability to understand 2D drawings and work with 3D models.
Ability to communicate effectively with customer and factory
Ability to work with or without direct supervision in a team environment.
Ability to lead development projects with team of design engineers/contractors.
Willing to work overtime.
Willing to travel: customer on-site location, out of town, overseas.
Familiarity with Japanese/culture a plus.
Good attitude, pro-active mentality, challenge-seeker.
