Senior Design Principal
Job Description AECOM is seeking visionary and dynamic leadership for our global architecture practice. We are seeking an individual or individuals who: - Are industry-recognized leaders in design - Are capable of design leadership across multiple markets and project types (institutional, academic, civic, etc.) - Have strong relationships to academia - Are focused on the use of and potential of technology in design - Have strong client relationships, connections and an established client network - Have a proven track record in the western United States and have experience practicing globally - Understand the business fundamentals of Design: client leadership, business development, financial oversight, design quality, project delivery Requirements: - Portfolio of award-winning work across a wide variety of project sizes and types - Client and team leadership skills grounded in design and communication - Collaborator and mentor - Client base with broad list of contacts - Proven connections and strong media contacts - Experience in design build and other alternate delivery methods - Understanding of and experience in building information modeling is highly valued - Excellent strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills - Master's degree in architecture - 15+ years of related experience, with a strong background or interest in international work LEED accreditation Licensed Architect Responsibilities: - Direct and provide design leadership for teams - Foster a collaborative design culture in an interdisciplinary environment to further a vibrant design practice - Recruit, mentor and develop staff - Continually improve the quality of our work, the manner in which we deliver it, and the process we employ to attain it - Build, nurture, and foster new relationships with an ever broadening client base - Work closely with regional and global firm leadership to promote an interdisciplinary design approach and philosophy - Participate in the development of the Corporate/Commercial market while working alongside other sectors, including Education, Health Care, Federal/Justice, Leisure + Cultural and Sports
