Senior Desktop Support Manager – Investment Bank – Hong Kong recruitment

A global investment bank require a Senior Desktop Support Manager who will be responsible for managing a team of 10+ desktop support in Hong Kong, running the desktop re-engineering programme and setting up the next generation desktop processes for the department.

Responsibilities of the role:

- Managing a team of 10+ desktop support engineers based in Hong Kong.

- Running the desktop re-engineering programme, providing direction for strategy and implementation.

- Overseeing the next generation desktop process implementation and ensuring ITIL processes are also maintained.

- Being the escalation point for desktop related issues for the trade floor in Hong Kong.

- Ensuring day to day management of the Hong Kong team is aligned with strategy regionally.

- Reporting directly to the Regional Head of Desktop Support.

Requirements of the role:

- 10+ years technology experience with a previous background in desktop support before moving into management.

- Must have banking sector experience.

- Excellent understanding of supporting the desktops on the trade floor, including knowledge on Bloomberg and Reuters.

- Strong management experience with 5+ years team leading of desktop support engineers.

- Proven background of running desktop re-engineering programmes and process improvement in desktop support environments.

- Large scale desktop environment experience of users in excess of 500 users.

- Ability to speak both fluent English and Chinese.
