Senior Developer – ION MARKET PLATFORM SPECIALIST (Fixed Income) – Based in NY recruitment
My client is an established Investment Bank in New York who are looking to expand their Fixed Income group. The team are looking to hire a ION market view specialist.
The Fixed Income team develops software for price/inventory publication, inquiry management and straight through processing of electronic trades with various external electronic trading systems such as Bloomberg, TradeWeb, BrokerTech, Market Axess, etc. The position involves working closely with both the front office and trading system development teams to provide solutions to sales and trading desks.
The Senior Developer will be exposed to e-trading functions including streaming prices, trade STP, electronic trade execution, order management, and market depth aggregation. The candidate might also be exposed to advanced trading techniques such as intelligent auto-quoting and order routing, automatic hedging and automated trading strategies.
Technical skills required for Senior Developer – ION MARKET PLATFORM SPECIALIST (Fixed Income) – New York,
• Linux/Unix, Scripting (e.g. PERL, Shell)
• Ability to configure MMI GUI based on business requirements
• Ability to configure ION server side components
• ION system admin knowledge
• Windows server
• Real-time pub/sub
• Java
• C# .Net (WPF)
• Working knowledge of rates/fixed income trading systems (eSpeed, BorkerTec, Dealerweb, ICAP etc…)
• Experience with ION Server side C++/Java API
• Experience with ION C# MMI component framework
• WINFits a plus
• Scheduling tools such as autosys and cron job
- ION platform (MMI, system admin and server side component configuration) – 1-2+ year experience is A MUST (This includes other related ION components such as VMO, VMQ, entitlements server)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a self-starter who is comfortable working with rapidly changing priorities, must be able to handle multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- Must be able to interact with a variety of global teams – support, infrastructure, development
- Knowledge of Fixed Income TSY, Govy, Future and IRS product and pricing data.
- 5+ years of work experience in a related department
- Knowledge of Fixed Income trading
- Knowledge of Fixed Income electronic markets and market connectivity
