Senior Developer / Manager with Java and SQL for Telco Big Data Pioneer
We are looking for a Senior Developer ready to confidently apply a solid technical and managerial skillset to create new or upgrade current solutions, proposing and defending innovations.
You will be using your experience as a Senior Developer to create and upgrade solutions which interact with the mobile telecommunications core network, familiarising yourself with a multitude of mobile telecommunications protocols, standards and infrastructure variations of those standards. mCentric solutions range from Data Plan Management, xDR Navigation, SIM Registration, Voucher Services, and other basic mobile network solutions which in turn are feeding its data into a dynamic and intelligent promotions platform allowing for precise Microsegmentation applied to intelligent and interactive promotions and reporting. Our solutions are responsible for dealing with billions of events processed per day, millions of concurrent user sessions, and are expected to deliver results in real time. To handle the demand, several of the solutions are built over a Big Data structure. In fact, mCentric solutions are running over the first BDA installed in Africa.
Skills Requirements
As a small company, we expect you to be involved in all of your solutions in an end-to-end capacity, comprehending every aspect of all of your designs to the point of being able to troubleshoot and pinpoint any possible flaw. You know the technology you are getting behind inside and out and switch seamlessly between development, pre-sales, specifications refinement and management. You are a key asset to our Sales and Business Development teams, always available with suggestions and adapting to the changing needs of our customers which is mCentric’s differentiator. You test-drive the latest features so as to best showcase them to your present and future portfolio of clients.
Knowledge and experience of Big Data Hadoop would be highly valued, however, as we have previously stated, our professionals enjoy the challenge of nimbly and proactively coming up to speed on any material.
