A global banking organisation are seeking for a skilled DevOps Engineer for a permanent role in London.
Within this banking organisation, the digital transformation team are working toward a lean delivery model, and are seeking a DevOps Engineer to mould and shape this evolution. Spanning this digital banking area, the DevOps Engineer will deliver a modern, lean approach for software development through to delivery.
This role, as DevOps Engineer will be very hands on, providing technical direction and also driving the goal to have the SDLC processes running themselves. You will need to demonstrate your Front line experience, being able to be comfortable picking up new tools and technologies.
The DevOps engineer will be able to transfer their exemplary technical skills to other members of the team and you will be expected to contribute to the technical leadership group within the platform. You must show you have the ability to "leanify" development / deployment / release / operational processes and practices through automation.
Skills:
- operational experience on a large, business-critical e-commerce platform
- Automated everything - builds, deployments, configuration, tests, installations, etc
- Ability to rapidly craft good-quality tools - automation, operational, reporting etc
- Strong Linux, comfortable working with Windows + AIX
- Scripting - shell, perl, Python etc
- Build tools - ant, maven, make etc
- Continuous Integration - setting up, managing, troubleshooting
- SCM tools - RTC, ClearCase
- Significant exposure to web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, JSP, content management, caching, etc)
