Senior Director CD&S – Banks – NY recruitment
The Senior Director, Client Development Sales, Banks Segment, based in New York, will focus on executing the North American sales strategy relating to the banking client segment. This individual will play an important role in expanding both our existing relationships with banks in North America and developing new customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Create and maximize individual client relationships within the bank client segment
• Understand bank client organization, strategy, objectives and develop account plans accordingly
• Develop senior relationships within assigned accounts and identify opportunities to increase the use of CME Group products and services across all asset classes
• Work with Sales Analysis Support to identify prospects and prioritize new client targets
• Leverage Business Line Management subject matter experts to position products, provide tools and educate
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the cash/OTC and listed derivatives marketplaces to enhance understanding of CME Group’s strategic positioning as it relates to the particular product complex
• Develop an understanding of all the CME business lines in order to help facilitate cross product development and enhance cross sell opportunities
• Participate in the development of and accountable for executing the sales strategy
• Responsible for account list that represents significant segment revenue, region or clients with complex needs
• Independently guide decisions that represent and support broad interests of CME Group’s internal functions when working with clients
• This position will require that you travel 20-30% of the year
• Measures of success:
o Revenue/Volume for client segment and asset class
o Cross selling: number of asset classes traded and revenue volume/per asset class
o Number/revenue/volume of new clients
o Diversification across client base/concentration risk
o Globalization of client base
o Member/non-member ratio
Requirements:
• 10 + years experience in derivatives sales and marketing and ideally 3+ years experience gained from working with the banking sector
• Demonstrable experience executing successful sales/account strategies and plans
• Strong customer service skills and a demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization including senior level management
• Demonstrated success working within bank client segment
• Experience with multiple derivative products including financials and commodities
• Networking and relationship building skills
• Bachelor’s degree
